Well, it's October now, though in Omaha, Nebraska, it doesn’t feel like it. The leaves are still green on the trees; the temperature is in the 80s, but I still want a warming, malty beer! I found the Winterbock from KC Bier Co. at my local grocery store and was ready to try this dark, Doppelbock Lager.
Winterbock is crafted with German malts and hops with distinctive caramel and chocolate notes. Its light, smooth body and slight upfront sweetness enhance the caramel and chocolate notes, finishing with mild hop bitterness to balance this Doppelbock. The warmth lingers from this 8.25% ABV beer, making it a great beer to transition to fall or winter!
