I have a wee bit of Irish in me, so to find a local Irish Red Ale, I was up for that!
My eyes were smiling as they saw this gorgeous copper red ale with a nice tan colored head fill my pint glass. This malty ale has incredible buttery caramel notes. There is a slight sweetness in the start and middle that finishes out very smoothly. The body is moderately soft with great warmth to it. The 6% ABV seems to be ideal for this beer!
This is a style of beer that seems perfect in those late winter months to me. Divots Brewery, you did an excellent job with Mollie’s Irish Red Ale. Some day you will have to introduce me to Mollie.
