This summer is flying by and has been very hot! It was a treat to meet friends at Monolithic Brewing this past weekend to enjoy a few beers. I always enjoy Shandies and Mexican Lagers this time of year. But when you are at Monolithic, you always need to have one of their great Hazy IPAs too!
Black Diamond Watermelon Shandy
The Monolithic Lemon Shandy with real black diamond watermelon juice and sea salt. Coming in at 4.7% ABV, this Shandy is light and reminds me of my dad’s black diamond watermelons! The sea salt is a nice complement to the watermelon flavor.
Benevolent Sun
It seems appropriate that on a beautiful sunny day, you have this Hazy IPA. Nice citrus and tropical fruit notes in this soft-bodied IPA. The hop profile is Citra and Nectaron hops in this 6.3% ABV IPA.
Chupacabra
I am a big fan of Mexican Lagers, and this one is a favorite of mine! Light, crisp, and that touch of sweetness from the corn used. This 5.4% ABV Lager is always a must when stopping at Monolithic!
