Pint Nine Brewing Company has come a long way since opening in 2017. I remember going into the taproom with four taps. The vibe of the taproom was very much like an extension of the brewery itself. I visited for the first time during the grand opening week, and it was so exciting to find a down-to-earth place to enjoy a craft beer made in the same building!

Over the years, Pint Nine continued to expand its taps, but more importantly, brought ideas to the taproom that grew a large customer base of great friends of the brewery. The Mug Club membership program has grown every year, with annual and lifetime members. There is something special about seeing friends with their mugs. The best part I love is how creative Pint Nine has been in finding wall space as memberships have grown!

Pint Nine has always been a huge contributor to the community with programs such as Pints for a Purpose and Pint It Forward. Pints for a Purpose supports a local charity each month, and Pint It Forward allows people to support individuals and groups, like our veterans, by purchasing a pint for them.

With all of the growth of the brewery, there was something missing; there wasn’t really room for events. Granted, you could have small gatherings and the occasional party in the brewery area, but James (Jimi) and Lea Watson had a vision for something more.

Timing is everything when it comes to getting additional space, especially next-door space. It was about three years ago that the Watsons were ready to make a move, but unfortunately, the open bay next to the brewery had been leased. Last summer, their fortune changed, and they secured the lease to build out the event space.

Stylish lighting above the bar in The Room

Jimi Watson, master brewer and designer of The Room

Lea told me that the majority of the design of The Room came from Jimi. The theme of the space is modern, lounge-like, with bright colors and comfortable, plush seating. The floor is beautiful, with a dark color motif that matches the bar top.

The bar is very nice, with all its own taps matching the same twenty in the brewery. The lights above the bar (as shown above) highlight it well, making it a favorite spot for a conversation over a beer! The silver-colored walls around the bar are covered in glitter that shines especially at night.

There are televisions to enjoy sports like March Madness, and the sound system is excellent, making it feel like you are in the stands. I also enjoy the ceiling tile in the area outside of the restrooms.

All of these features add to the eclectic style of The Room.

What a great place to have a birthday party, wedding reception, company meeting, or any other occasion where you can enjoy some of Nebraska’s finest craft beer!

The capacity of The Room is around 120 people. To book your next event, call 402-359-1418 or email events@pintninebrewing.com.

Congrats, Pine Nine Brewing, on this expansion of an incredible event space!

Cheers!
